Maybe ska already had its moment in the spotlight.

But honestly, I don’t think it ever really disappeared.

It feels like ska punk is slowly starting to rise again around the world.

In the US, bands like The Interrupters and Rancid are still playing huge stages, while in the UK, legends like Madness continue to be loved across generations.

At the same time, younger bands such as Chudson, Five State Drive, and Death Of Guitar Pop are beginning to stand out more and more.

And honestly, I think ska and social media were never a bad match.

The energy of short videos.

The unity of live shows.

The excitement of horns.

The singalongs.

The fun and sense of community that ska punk has always carried still connects with people today.

Meanwhile, legends from the 2 Tone era like Bad Manners and The Selecter are still active even now.

Old-school culture and a new generation of bands are slowly starting to connect again.

SKAPUNK MAG hopes to become a bridge between those scenes, generations, and communities.
