The Specials have announced their new live release, Live From the Cathedral.

The newly released track, “Gangsters: Live From the Cathedral,” was recorded during the band’s four-night run at the Cathedral in London. In their post, the band described the performances as:

“More than just concerts… some of the most memorable and emotional shows we have ever played.”

The release also serves as a tribute to late frontman Terry Hall, who passed away in 2022.

“These recordings serve as a fitting tribute to, and celebration of, our wonderful and brilliant friend Terry.”

The album will be available in several physical formats.

A limited 3LP edition will feature fan-submitted photos from the concerts alongside the names of everyone who contributed them, while the 6CD boxset includes full recordings from three of the four shows.

More than just another live album, Live From the Cathedral feels like a final document celebrating the legacy of one of ska’s most influential bands.
